With the beginning of the holiday season for 2020 #Octane.Garage.NJ would like to take the opportunity to express our sincere gratitude to our customers. With the current circumstances this year of Covid19 we want to extend our thanks beyond the general “Happy Thanksgiving”. We are grateful to everyone for helping to make this “new normal” somewhat bearable. Our thanks go to all #essential.workers, including medical, police and fire, caregivers, food services, and delivery people who brave each day to help get us through tough and uncertain times. And to the parents, teachers, and students for trying to make the best of a very difficult transition to continue with education. None of the new challenges we face are easy ones, but for all who are doing their part to help keep others safe we are thankful. We’re hoping things get better for everyone real soon and wishing you all a safe, happy holiday from Octane Garage.

We’ve all seen them, #auto.repair ads and coupons promising discounts on their services, typically for basic maintenance like an #oil.change. There is always fine print on these offers, they usually have limitations that may exclude your needs entirely, or provide very little benefit. Of course, they could not stay in business without being at least competitively priced for the area. It’s mostly a game played to bring new customers in, which is understandable, but are you getting your money’s worth? Quite often, no. ALLDATA, the leading provider of OEM service and repair information to the professional automotive service industry published an article regarding the use of discounts and how they really add up for the customer, or not. Read about how discounting doesn't always add up for the customers: rb.gy/tb9j1l. When the phone rings and there is a potential repair customer on the line we have a choice. We can offer a price quote and hope that it’s not too high and scares them away. Or the approach of a shop owner with decades of experience: offer a quote that’s competitive yet comparable to the local competition. This reflects the value of our shop’s commitment to the highest standards of #automotive.repair. Years of experience providing quality repairs, being honest and transparent with each customer is more important, and can create more repeat customers. The value of most discounts or coupons is frequently an illusion when you do the math.
Driving home in the dark now, good #headlights and effective #wiper_blades are so critical for safe night driving. On AutoInc.org, the Car Care Council explains this in detail, rb.gy/ufb4zr. We can help, just call us at (732)509-9911, or OCTANEGARAGENJ.COM. Stay safe!
